God gives the wise their wisdom
and scholars their knowledge.
To them He reveals
deep and mysterious things.

WHY FEARING AND LOVING GOD
ARE BOTH IN SCRIPTURE

In some Scriptures we are told to love a rewarding God and in other Scriptures we are told to fear a punishing God.

These different Scriptures are addressing different people.

The Scriptures that say to fear God are addressing the people who without the fear of God would break His laws .

The Scriptures that say to love God are addressing the people who obey God's laws to please Him and not to disappoint Him.

There are the people who live in harmony with the Holy Spirit and do their best to follow God's laws, and the people enslaved to the instincts of evolution who ignor God's laws.

Too often the world rewards the people who flout God's laws. In Psalm 73, the poet expresses how difficult it is for ordinary people not to envy the people who can violate all God's laws, and have everything, even good health, while those who live by the laws of God, are barely surviving.

Two psalms for all time:.

Psalm 72~
The ways in which the heir to David's throne prays to be of service to his people. A guide to governance for all time..

Psalm 73~
How difficult it is to avoid envying and being tempted to emulate, the evil people who have everything, even good health, while the good people suffer in pain and poverty.
